Biome Animations - Video Project

We began this animation project in November. Our students wrote the scripts in their four person teams and went through rough drafts, final drafts and story boarding before they began to draw the animal characters. The characters were drawn in Painter Pro software. The voice-over and artwork were completed at the end of November and the animation was done in Toon Boom Pro software in December.

CATS - The Musical

Every member of our 3rd grade class appeared in the musical, as well as three members of the fifth grade class. We began by learning T. S. Eliot’s poetry, then the songs, then the choreography. We did six performances for 14 classes at Braddock Elementary and Braddock Gifted Magnet, as well as a parent and family performance.

More Budget Cuts - P.S.A. Project

April 2010

Our public service announcement project this year was about the budget cuts that are happening in public education. Each of my students edited his/her own version of the PSA in iMovie software. We all started with the same basic video footage. Ms. LeCates’ 4th grade students were kind enough to be extras in the video.

Solar System - The Musical  Video Project

May 2010

This is our solar system video for this year. Sean Hart wrote a song for us to learn and each student took a planet, dwarf planet, moon or asteroid role.  We did the voice-over and the green screen video production on two different days.
