INTERVIEW WITH AN ANIMAL
Our first video/animation project of the year began with the five writing teams. Every team produced an interview script. Every team had someone act in front of a green screen as the interviewer and someone else on the team did the voice-over for the animated animal. Everyone on the team drew the animation art and they chose one team member’s art for the final project animation. Students practiced animating the artwork in “Frames” software.

MARCH 2012
This was the perfect musical project for us this year. We loved the music, we loved learning it and we loved performing. We got to see “Wicked” together at the Pantages Theatre in January and finally in March we were ready to perform it ourselves. Thanks to all of you who helped us.
THE REASONS FOR THE SEASONS

The song, “The Reasons for the Seasons,” was written for us by Sean Hart. We did
the voice-over and green screen video shoot all in one day. The video was shot with our class camera and was edited in FinalCut Express. The students and I all worked with the same video clips, jpegs and audio. We all produced an edit of the song.

On the last day of school I decided to bring a green screen cloth and let students reminisce, in front of our class video camera, about “Wicked,” the musical we performed in March.
